Due to the fluid nature of the Fall 2020 semester, we will not be printing the official Academic Calendar. However, the Registrar's Office has made available a PDF calendar that extends through December 2020 for the CMU community to print for personal use.
The Art Store occupies its own space down the hall from the University Store. Specializing in supplies for everyone from professional artists to casual hobbyists, our expert staff can help you with projects and finding the right products.
Our in-store framer, Perry, helps customers display their artwork in custom frames that are timeless and beautifully crafted. Please contact the Art Store to set-up a consultation appointment with Perry.
First Year Tool Kits
The Art Store works with instructors to create kits at the beginning of the fall semester for first year students. These kits include supplies instructors believe students will need during their college career. Kits can be pre-ordered during the summer leading up to the fall semester. Clothing & Gifts
The University Store offers a variety of branded items from sweatshirts and mugs to jewelry and leather bags. We also offer a high-end line of recognition products including the Carnegie Mellon or Carnegie Tech rocking and captain's chairs, crystal, and cherry wood desk boxes, perfect for faculty and staff gift-giving occasions.
Departmental Custom Orders
We're happy to assist departments in creating, sourcing, and receiving special orders. Working with the stores, departments can get special discounts, assistance on artwork, and easy delivery options. If you'd like to inquire about custom order options, please contact Melissa Hiller.

Office & School Supplies
We carry an array of office and school supplies, including Carnegie Mellon branded items. In addition to supplies like binders and notebooks, we carry leather portfolios and professional desk items. If you'd like to special order office supplies, or need a large quantity of items for an event, please contact the University Store by email or at 412-268-5591.
We're happy to offer online shopping to customers who cannot visit our physical store. Online inventory pulls directly from our in-store inventory, and can vary based on available inventory. Items with an inventory of 3 or less will not show online, even if they're still available in-store. If you have any questions about item availability, please call with an item number or description ready so our store associates can assist you. Online Promotional Codes
We will occasionally offer promotional codes for special events to be used on online orders. These promotional codes can be applied during check-out, where you should see the difference in your total. Promotional codes are set to run during certain dates, and will not work outside of these dates. If you enter a promotional code and receive an error message, please refer to the dates the code is valid. We do not honor promotional codes given by other licensed sellers of Carnegie Mellon University merchandise. Please double-check that you're using a promotional code provided by the University Store. Promotional Code, Coupon and Loyalty Rewards Standard Exclusions
Unless otherwise states, Carnegie Mellon University Stores promotional codes, coupons and loyalty rewards do not apply to merchandise purchased with departmental requisitions. Promotional codes, coupons, and rewards points cannot be used on the purchase of: calculators, class rings, computers, custom ordered merchandise, diploma frames, electronics, FitBit products, furniture, GoPro products, headphones, sale items, and textbooks. All discounts are single use only, unless specifically noted on the coupon. Discounts cannot be combined with any other offers, promotions, etc. Additionally, loyalty rewards cannot be earned when purchasing these items.
Graduation Caps & Gowns
The University Store is responsible for the procurement of academic regalia worn at commencement by the keynote speaker, trustees, vice presidents, faculty and students. Students may purchase regalia at Grad Fair, or in-store during the weeks leading up to commencement. We realize that many faculty members participate in other academic or civil ceremonies, and on occasion may need access to caps, gowns and hoods. Year round the University Store staff can assist you with ordering and renting regalia. We have the ability to order the Masters and Ph.D hoods from approximately 1,500 national colleges and universities, and most large foreign universities. The University Store is the official textbook provider for Carnegie Mellon University. We work directly with faculty to ensure we carry the course materials students need each semester. Our textbook store is available online only, and provides students with a robust selection of textbook formats to fit their unique learning style. You can visit the online bookstore at any time throughout the semester, or choose to pre order before the semester begins.
We're proud to carry and showcase books authored by our faculty. If you have authored or co-authored a book currently in print, please let us know. We've dedicated space on the lower level of the University Store for faculty authors and performers.
The University Store is also available to host author readings and signings. If you're interested in promoting your work through an event at the store, please contact us by email or at 412-268-5591.

Textbook Return Policy
Most physical textbooks are eligible for return within two weeks of purchase, or 21 days after the shipping date. Non-activated eBooks, digital content, and access codes can be returned within 14 days after class start date or within 14 days of purchase, whichever is later.
