Shipping Policy
Placing Orders
Orders are processed Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Our standard shipping method is UPS Ground. Please note that delivery times may vary due to order volume, weather conditions, or special events on campus. Whenever possible, we aim to pack and ship orders within 24 hours of placement.
Standard shipping rates apply only to U.S. addresses. International shipping is available on a case-by-case basis. If you place an international order, we will contact you with a shipping quote after the order is submitted. Once you approve the quote, we will adjust your order to include the shipping cost. Please be aware that any taxes, duties, or fees required by the destination country are the responsibility of the recipient, and the carrier will reach out if additional charges are owed before delivery.
Gift Orders
If you would like to send an order as a gift, please indicate the items that are gifts on the checkout page. For gift orders we will remove tags and include a gift receipt, include a custom note to the recipient. Please list your email address to receive final order totals. We do not offer gift wrapping as a service. There is no extra fee for gift orders.
Diploma Frames
Diploma frames incur extra shipping fees due to their large size and fragile nature. Those fees are included in your shipping rate. In some cases, diploma frames might ship directly from our diploma frame vendor. This vendor uses FedEx for shipping. We will notify you if your frame will be shipped directly from the vendor along with tracking information from FedEx.
Custom Regalia
Custom regalia ships directly from the vendor that creates it. It ships at a flat rate fee of $19.95 within the United States.
Pickup in Store: Free
You will receive an email when your order is available for pick-up. Apparel and gift orders can be picked up on the Upper Level of The University Store. Tool kits and technology can be picked up on the Lower Level of The University Store.
Standard Shipping: $8.99
(Excludes Alaska and Hawaii)
Orders are shipped via UPS Ground. Other items that incur additional fees are:
- Diploma Frames - $27 handling fee
Custom Regalia: $19.95
Custom Regalia ships directly from the manufacturer at a standard rate. Please note that custom regalia can take anywhere from 8-10 weeks to be created and shipped due to its personalized nature.
International Shipping: Custom Quote
Please place your order and select Standard Shipping. We will email you a shipping quote for delivery to your location. If you approve the quote, we will update your order to include the shipping cost. Please note that this fee does not cover any additional duties or taxes that may be required upon delivery. The carrier will contact you directly if any extra fees are owed.
Laptops & Tablets Shipping: $30.00
Shipping for laptops and tablets is a $30.00 flat rate. All orders must be placed using a valid CMU email address. Orders are shipped via UPS Ground and are insured, with a signature required upon delivery.
Alaska and Hawaii - $39.00
Orders are shipped via UPS standard shipping.Other items that incur additional fees are:
- Diploma Frames - $27 additional fee for insurance, shipping materials, and signature required services.
U.S Territories: Custom Quote
Orders are shipped via UPS Standard Shipping. This includes signature confirmation and any customs fees incurred. Large items, such as diploma frames, may have additional insurance fees.
There is no fixed standard shipping rate for U.S. Territories. Please select the Standard Shipping option when placing your order, and a member of The University Store team will contact you with a shipping quote.
UPS Expedited 2 Day (Continental US) - $15.00
Orders are shipped via UPS Air 2nd Day. For orders going to Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S territories, we'll add charges accordingly. Other items that incur additional fees are:
- Diploma Frames - $27 additional fee for insurance, shipping materials, and signature required services.
Next Day Air (Continental US) - $40.00
Orders are shipped via UPS Next Day Air. Please note that orders will be shipped as soon as possible during regular hours of operation. Please place orders by NOON for same day shipment. Orders placed after noon may ship out the following business day morning. If you would like Saturday delivery this option will incur additional charges. We will contact you to determine the cost. If shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S territories, we'll add charges accordingly.
Shipping to P.O Boxes, U.S. Military Bases, and Government Addresses: $8.99
If you plan to ship to a P.O box, APO, or other address type not serviced by UPS, we will send your order via the United States Postal Service (USPS). If we have to ship via USPS we'll notify you and provide tracking information.
